Repentance and the Vapor of Remorse
Apps: Snapseed, Hipstamatic, iColorama, 1967Cam, Brushes, Superimpose, Stackables
A recent personal study into the nature of remorse and regret that leads a Christian believer to repent of a particular behavior happened to coincide with the announcement of a FaceBook group's theme on men. This image was in process at the time of both the study and the group challenge, so I offered it there (and on Instagram and Flickr) as an entry to demonstrate that both remorse and repentance are real aspects of authentic manhood and character. C.S. Lewis noted that, “Repentance means unlearning all the self-conceit and self-will that we have been training ourselves into... It means killing part of yourself, undergoing a kind of death.”
