20160621 2246 - Violent Femmes concert - 20160621 22.46-diptych-42

This saxophone was HUGE. It was taller than everyone on the stage. After the concert, we posted this on Facebook and found out it's a contrabass saxophone.

Carolyn got some better pictures of it after the concert was over and we were able to get closer to the stage.

BACKSTORY: Awesome concert! It was a sit-down show, but people stood up when Violent Femmes came on, anyway. Opener was this chick playing guitar, and then a guy playing a bass joined her later. Some of it was a haunting melody. It was interesting. Violent Femmes was great, though.
