Durham ('Bull Durham') Athletic Park
Durham Athletic Park, Washington, Corporation, Foster and Geer Streets, Durham, North Carolina.
The Hollywood film "Bull Durham" was mostly filmed at the Durham Athletic Park following the close of the 1987 Carolina League season, making the 'DAP' one of the most famous minor league baseball stadiums in history.
The park is in good shape and still used today by the North Carolina Central University Eagles. The Bulls, now the Triple-A club for Tampa Bay, play a few miles away in a much larger stadium.
The new stadium is nicer, but I have fond memories of sitting on the grass bank beyond the outfield on lazy summer evenings watching the Bulls when they were still the single A club for the Braves.
