Cuba leaves something indelible on one's soul - never, it seems, has there ever been such a beautiful, exuberant, and at times despairing prison. It is not somewhere that I was able to understand but 3 years later it still haunts me, sometimes as a beautiful visitation and sometimes as a frightening and deeply sad spectre.
