Oculus
ds106 daily create for July 27, 2014: "Make an interesting photo that uses angles."
I've been out of town for three weeks, traveling in Europe. Just got home last night. I had taken a number of photos with the old iphone I took with me, and this one turned out surprisingly well (most of the photos with the iphone 4 were not very good).
A circle is just a very wide angle, right? Actually, I like the angles of the light.
This is the oculus of the Pantheon in Rome, an ancient Roman building that has been preserved through the centuries because it became a Christian church. The top of the dome is wide open to the elements--the main source of light in the building.
