Reflectivity

I was in the mood for macro today so I went out for a short walk in the neighbourhood. Unfortunately it was windy. There were some decent shots but I got really impatient so I took the flowers home :). To produce the above shot I discovered quite some time ago that you need a glass table. Then all you need is the perfect angle. Window lighting is my favourite but in other cases you might need to produce the light yourself. I used one strobe for the shot you see above. You really have to get the lighting right to get an effect that seems to be natural. Actually, for this shot I used ETTL but I diffused the light using a bond paper.

 

Also, as I was finishing with my chores I took a peak outside and I saw the sky was burning, see below. A minute or so later it was gone. Anyway, I hope you all like the hydrangea shot above. Cheers everyone!
