The relative mild weather lately made it possible to still pick many different herbs for my daily tea. I usually make two big teapots every morning to drink throughout the day. I also got myself an eucalyptus plant (on the right) at the end of summer. Mostly because it looked so poorly in the shop that I had empathy as I know they are throwing such plants out at some point. It was already greatly reduced in price. I did not know anything about the care for such a plant and made the mistake to only read later that it needs lime-deficient water and dislikes the wind. We have the most limy water in our area and also strong winds throughout the whole year. First I had it outside on the terrace, but it started to look even worse, so I brought it inside. Since I have it on my kitchen window, it developed so well that I can hardly believe it! I love the smell of Eucalyptus and rub a leaf every now and then to enjoy the scent! That plants are able to produce a smell like this seems still like a miracle to me!
