alligator mom rescues baby!
This Great Blue Heron has grabbed himself a baby alligator, but here comes the baby's ANGRY MOM and she is NOT AMUSED!!! These pictures are all heavily cropped since I was pretty far away. It was very hard to get a good focus on the dark wet alligator. The amazing thing is that I only saw an alligator chasing after a heron (extraordinary enough) ... I never even saw the baby till I got home and enlarged the pictures! All nine pictures in the comments are clickable (thanks to wee3beasties for sharing her nifty way of doing that!) with note boxes pointing out the baby alligator.
