Classical Bricks
The Village of Avalon: A Collaborative Project
A collaboration with Cole Blood, Jake Hansen, and Micah Schmidt that we brought together and displayed at BrickCon Seattle 2017 a couple of weeks ago. It’s built on 12 48x48 baseplates, and we each built a section of landscape and some buildings. I built the front 4 baseplates and the mill, Jake built the left middle 3 baseplates and the inn, blacksmith shop, and shed, Cole built the back right 2 baseplates with the church, and Micah built the back left 3 baseplates and the rest of the buildings. We each brought our part of the collab to the convention and then spent all day Thursday and Friday connecting together our sections, finishing up the buildings, and adding trees, foliage, and minifigures. (Credit for the sand green clip tree technique goes to Micah Beideman) It was really fun to collaborate with these guys and we enjoyed displaying it at BrickCon! Check out the youtube video: youtu.be/DuANGCxDvuc and the MOCPages post (coming soon) for more pictures! Also look out for the Beyond the Brick interview when they post it and follow us on Brickly: @classicalbricks, @coleblood, @mountainhobbit, @micahschmidt. Thanks for looking!
