This is another potential shot for the Canon EOS Photo5 "through a pet's eyes" brief. I wanted to show the idea that a pet sees a gourmet meal, but in reality, the meal is just plain old dried biscuits. I decided to show the fantasy meal, and then the reality meal reflected in the mirror.
The photo consists of 2 images that I have merged in photoshop. I took the image of the chicken using a snooted flash above to give a spotlight effect, with the mirror in place. I then substituted the bowl of cat biscuits in place of the chicken and took another shot. I cut out the mirror image of the cat biscuits, and merged it into the chicken image using Photoshop.
I'm really pleased with how well the image turned out, the overall concept, and how well it fits the brief. I'm definitely going to enter this into the competition, and I'm going to win too!!
