"Why Hello y'all...again!" - Red Panda Cubs
My most popular photo (both in views and favorites) is Why, Hello y'all elsewhere on my photostream. It was taken on October 9, 2010. I decided to take the image and rework it now that I have learned new Photoshop tricks.
I "repaired" the firefox's cut-off ear and I think the new treatment makes its eyes brighter! I tried to also get the handheld image a little less "soft." I really liked the feel of the lighting, artificial in the cubs' area and pretty directional daylight streaming through the viewing window so I tried to exploit the contrasting color sources. The color intensity is also punched up a bit and, I feel, more realistic to the original subject.
Anyway, you be the judge... Either way, this Red Panda cub is too cute for words!
This makes a case for all of us to revisit our images once in a while and try applying new editing techniques. As our skills in Photoshop and other tools improve, so can we improve our photos and get closer to our original vision when we originally snapped the shutter!
