Storefronts on Wharf
This is one of my night photos taken in Karaköy (Istanbul) during our stay. Our cruise ship stayed in Istanbul 2 days which permitted me to get out and capture some of the nighttime sights of the city.
I bracketed shots (3 at 1EV steps) and chose the "best" one. This RAW was then split into four images using Photoshop Raw and then these were fed into Photomatix Pro. Photomatix became a processor separating lights and darks. Most of these were processed with Fusion and others were Tonemapped as appropriate.
The lighting here is precious. The rich combination of sodium vapor, neon, and fluorescent light makes for a patchwork of color globs.
