De Leeuw van Waterloo (The Lion’s Mound) is a large conical artificial hill in Belgium, building completed in 1826.

The Battle of Waterloo was fought on18 June 1815, a French army under the command of Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated.

Visitors may climb up the Lion’s Mound's 226 steps, which lead to the statue and its surrounding overlook.
