The interior cabin in 2014, with styling from the 80's, suspended in time & for this flight suspended in nostalgia as in mid February 2014 the final flights of a DC 10 in the world got going in Birmingham, UK as Biman Bangladesh organised special farewell flights to mark the end of this enduring & iconic aircraft.

Mesmerizing psychedelic flashbacks from the 1980's in 2014

 

Biman Bangladesh, the sole passenger operator of the very last DC 10 operated a number of scenic flights to bid farewell to this iconic plane, 446 being delivered to various worldwide operators & the US Air Force until 1989.

Over three days, with 3 flights each day, special scenic flights were operated from Birmingham Airport, England of 1 hour each to allow enthusiasts the chance to sample for one last time the DC 10 aircraft. From Saturday 22nd, Sunday 23rd & Monday 24th, flights at 09.00 hrs, 12.00hrs & 15.00 hrs whisked enthusiasts up over the north of England, allowing photographs on the apron before & after the event.

Following the series of trips, S2-ACR departed Birmingham back to Dhaka on Tuesday 25th Feb 2014 for parting out.
