Eden

It was almost midnight, our car battery was dead and my wife and I were trapped somewhere along a country road in Texas Hill country for 3 hours. But I was excited, yeah, excited. Because 3 hours before I witnessed the most unforgettable sunset I have ever seen. The trip was for hunting wildflowers and it ended up pretty good. Earlier one hour before sunset, a storm was right above us and the rain and hail was crazy and forced us to stop at a gas station. Half an hour later, a gap showed up at the horizon and I realized the storm is about to leave and there is might be a chance heading west. So I started the car. Along the way out of town, sky started to clear up and a huge rainbow showed up. The idea quickly came up: I need to find a tree close to the road, with flowers in front. While driving I found this perfect one a few minutes later. I took a hard brake, grab my bag and run toward the tree immediately. And then I enjoyed the 20 minutes shooting quite well. When returned to the car I just find I forgot to turn off the light, it was an old car so the battery was out in 20 minutes. It sucks, but after a crazy light show, who cares. : )
