They weren't supposed to start demolition until August! I wanted to try to get some more photos of the old building before then. I was surprised to see that they'd already started. I'm so sad to see this one go. As you come into Springfield from the west, it's been a steadfast guardian. When it's gone, it will leave a gigantic hole.....possibly in the earth, but certainly in the landscape. We were still vainly hoping that someone might find a good use for it. Guess not...... End of an era? Oh yeah!
