Gavin Rossdale at the Taste of Chicago 2010
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Taste of Chicago 2010, Chicago's biggest event and the world's largest outdoor food fest. Beginning on the Fourth of July in 1980— when it was called Chicago Fest and took place closer to Navy Pier—as a modest food festival, the 10-day event attracts upwards of 3 million people each year,
Besides serving up more than 300 menu items from over 70 restaurants and food vendors, the Taste’s next most popular attraction in the free music entertainment. Main acts performing at the Petrillo Music Shell include Gavin Rossdale, Trey Songz, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh, Salt-n-Pepa; Rob Thomas, Rob Base, Steve Miller Band, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Emily Osment, Los Lonely Boys, Los Lobos, Brett Dennen, Mat Kearney, and Bell Biv Devoe.
For Rossdale’s set, wife Gwen Stefani and the couple’s two sons were watching stage side as Gavin Rossdale perform at the annual Taste of Chicago.
Their youngest son, Zuma, being held by a nanny, was crying and tried to break away twice to go to Gavin while he was performing, while Kingston went between sitting on his mother’s lap and being kept preoccupied with a colorful slinky by his nanny.
