Conservation agriculture in Chiapas: Storage solutions
Early Sunday morning, we delivered a silo to farmer José Almilcar Tacias Ruiz, who stands in front of his maize stored in burlap sacks. In the humidity of Chiapas, both pests and rot are a big problem. That is why the conservation agriculture team in Chiapas is helping farmers adopt new storage methods too, providing silos and “super bags” to farmers free of charge so they can test the technology for themselves.
