Through service providing to family farmers youth can make a steady income

The group of five young men earned almost US $7,000 shelling over 300 tons of maize last season. This was enough to support their livelihoods and invest back into their business. “We would probably be out of work if we hadn’t had the opportunity to learn how agricultural mechanization can be used to help smallholder farmers and gain skills to run our own business to provide these services,” explained Gift Chawara, 28, one of the young entrepreneurs.
