ON THE RISE - 1st SPRING FULL MOON - VANCOUVER, BC (EXPLORE / THANK-YOU FLICKR)
A large, tangerine coloured moon rising from the East.

Winter transitioning to Spring
Waxing Gibbous phase.
Iron Worker's Memorial Bridge aka 2nd Narrows Bridge
The small building on the Seawall is Stanley Park's Nine O'clock Gun. A muzzle loaded naval cannon dating back to 1816, the Gun was originally built in Woolwich, England.
The 9 O'Clock Gun located in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, that is ordinarily fired daily at 21:00 (9 p.m.) PT.
The gun shoots off a black powder charge that is electronically triggered on an automatic timer. The idea is that the general population can signal the time, much like the chiming of a clock tower.
As captured from Stanley Park
Vancouver, British Columbia
Canada
March's full moon, the Worm Moon, rose over Earth on Sunday, March 24, exactly two weeks before the total solar eclipse that will sweep over North America on April 8, 2024. Not to be left out of the eclipse action, the Worm Moon was marked by a slightly less dramatic lunar eclipse.
A special thanks to all my Flickr friends and visitors, for taking the time to view and acknowledge my photography.
Happy Clicks,
