Escape hall

They have made this visible so visitors can see part of the famous 1962 escape route, which is very helpful in understanding how the men got out. The escaped inmates were never found, but they used this hallway after sneaking out of their cells through holes in the walls. Alcatraz Island, San Francisco, California, 2009.
