Ottawa locks and Alexandra Bridge Ottawa Ontario Canada

The Steamboat Union was the first to go through the Locks in 1831

The locks are on the Rideau Canel Cut which connects to the Ottawa river which is where you can see the Alexandra Bridge which was constructed in 1900

 

The building on the left of the Canal is the Commissariat Building which was constructed in 1827 and it is one of the oldest buildings in Ottawa the building is now home to the Bytown Museum

The building in the background with the canadain flag on it is the Canadian Museum of History, Canada's national museum of human history
