This is the future. A human genome decoded by an external service provider (Complete Genomics, www.completegenomics.com) and delivered digitally to your doorstep via Amazon Web Services and their neat high-scale cloud data ingest/export service acting as fulfillment providers.
This box contains a disk drive holding the genome from NA19240, a Yoruban female and the related data that compares it to NCBI Release 37 of the Human Reference Genome
Total size is about ~350 gigabytes. The plan is to use this sample data set in a series of upcoming experiments involving large scale data movement and cloud platform ingest/export.
