Chapman's Pool

This is an image blended in Lightroom from 5 raw files bracketed 1 stop apart. My camera is set up so that bracketing starts with the darkest image and so I exposed to the right but avoided clipping the highlights in the first image. The next 4 images were a stop brighter (doubling the shutter speed each time). I usually use graduated filters to cope with severe contrast range issues but on this occasion controlling the sun with a strong graduated filter then made the sky darker than the sea (which shouldn’t happen) and so bracketing provided a more natural result and Lightroom does it well.
