Millenium Beacon, Lepe

This is a westerly looking composition but was shot 5 minutes after sunrise which shows you the benefit of checking over your shoulder occasionally as colours can spread unexpectedly. The Lepe Lighthouse is otherwise known as the Beaulieu River Millennium Beacon and was built in 2000. It helps boats navigate the approach to the Beaulieu River from the Solent, which is a relatively narrow channel between Beaulieu Spit and the Lepe Foreshore.
