37675 Loughborough

Transrail-liveried 37675 storms through Loughborough with a rake of ballast hoppers. The former 37164 was refurbished in 1987, gaining the new number and name William Cookworthy with a move to Laira depot in Plymouth. After regularly featuring on Cornish china clay workings, the nameplates were removed when the Class 37 was reallocated to Crewe. At the time of the photo in 1998 37675 was allocated to the FDCI - EWS - Immingham Class 37 North of England pool. It was cut up at EMR Kingsbury in October 2010. With thanks to class37.co.uk for the loco history
