BNSF 7887 Lake Park 17 Apr 07

BNSF 7887 leads a westbound vehicle train through Lake Park, MN along the renowned Staples Sub.

This particular day, 17 Apr 07, was an epic day, to say the least. It was one of those rare days where everything just kind of comes together and you're left years later wishing you could have another day as fulfilling as this one. Interestingly, at the time, this train was viewed as kind of an, "Eh, I'm here; I might as well shoot it" type of shot. Today, though, catching something like this would be coveted.

Anyway, here are the shots I've previously uploaded to Flickr from this day, all of which have EMDs leading, BTW:

What a perfect time capsule for what northern plains railroading was like back then! Anyone else miss it?
