BNSF 1993 Pueblo 2 Sep 20

BNSF 1993 leads the southbound Pikes Peak Local 2 over Interstate 25 across the old ATSF bridge in Pueblo, CO as they return home from a morning of work in Colorado Springs.

So, the timing on this one was pretty much perfect, even if the resulting photo isn't. I was cruise controlling it at a steady 79mph heading north and saw the PPL2 off in the distance coming south. It was probably making a steady 40mph'ish and it hit the overpass at the exact right time. Things I would change if I could? An actual rail car and not a flat behind the second unit and the removal of the paint patches on the ATSF bridge so the full "SANTA FE" wording was visible. At least the Santa Fe logo is still there, but everything looks better on the other side heading south.

Oh, and I'm not even going to pretend I did a good job at removing the bug splatters on the windshield. My Photoshop skills only go so far. But I had to share a perfectly-timed duo of SD40-2s...it would be criminal not to!
