BNSF 5695 Larkspur 3 Jul 20

A pair of retro-AC440CWs are still earning their keep as they haul EGSX empties north through Larkspur, CO.

There's nothing "baby-making" about this shot, but it's an angle I've been wanting to knock off my bucket list for a long time. It only really works reeeeeeally early in the morning during certain parts of summer.

Above the locomotives, you can see one part of the twin buttes on the southwest side of Larkspur, that one being Monkey Face. It's certainly hard to tell from this wide angle shot, but when viewed from about this angle, the rock formation at the top resembles the profile of a monkey's face. I think I can head back here and take more of a telephoto shot of the grade crossing about where the lead unit is here to highlight that interesting geologic feature.
