BNSF 6246 Colorado Springs 17 Feb 20
For some reason, BNSF 6246 is fronting the Pikes Peak Local as it works south through Colorado Springs, Colorado.
If I worked for a railfan magazine and the editor said, "Go capture disappointment," this is what I would submit. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes they'll put a dirty, old coal motor on the front of the only train that runs the Joint Line featuring standard cab power. I wouldn't have cared as much had I not made it a point to stick around waiting for this guy while he was taking his time getting down south. Oh well. If next year's contest theme is "Disappointment" in TRAINS, you're looking at the winner!
