BNSF 9009 Monument 29 Jul 19

BNSF 9009 leads a coal train out of Monument, CO and away from a severe thunderstorm that's intensifying a few miles to the north.

A few moments before the train arrived, a scud cloud was visible down toward the ground making things look more ominous than they actually were. This storm put out some strong gusts and dropped some decent hail along the Palmer Divide, but despite some rotation as it moved east, it didn't spawn any tornadoes.
