BNSF 1961 USAFA 13 Sep 18

BNSF 1961 leads the Pikes Peak Local south through the Air Force Academy, CO as a northbound coal empty waits on the siding.

 

For the past few years, the PPL is on the short side, averaging somewhere between 5 to 10 cars, but this one stretched out to 30 cars.

 

The 1961 is a RCO-equipped unit, but it's not a stranger to the Joint Line. I've caught it before, seen here running wrong main in Greenland:
