BNSF 1978 leads the Independence Day version of the Pikes Peak Local seen here on the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, CO.
Okay, yes, this is the last photo I'll share of this train taken from this same spot on the South Gate Bridge. But when one has a rare weekday off and happens to catch a SD40-2 up front, one tends to shoot as many angles as possible (despite them being similar) and then overshare the results!
