BNSF 1978 and a parade of sequential orange heritage lead the northbound Pikes Peak Local in front of its namesake mountain as it keeps the main on the Air Force Academy, CO.
The Local had to wait here for MoW to clear off the single-track main near Monument, but I'm glad I was able to capitalize on catching the Local on a rare weekday off.
