DMIR 406 and DMIR 215 Proctor 24 May 11
A half-classic scene as one of the two remaining maroon DMIR units works the yard in Proctor, MN while a noodle'd roster mate brings in a load of limestone.
If I'm not mistaken, this was right about the time DMIR 215 began to be used in yard service. At the time, I didn't know any better nor did I care...I was just thrilled that I was actually able to see and shoot DMIR maroon on my short business trip to the Duluth area.
This is a fascinating operation, even today as CN, BLE, and IC paint have taken over what used to be solely maroon territory, but it's hard to argue with standard cab EMDs regardless of paint...
