BNSF 1700 Larkspur Bridge 11 Dec 14

After cutting in a couple of hoppers that were stranded on the siding in Larkspur, the Pikes Peak Local is underway south toward Colorado Springs again as it flies over the famous Santa Fe bridge in Larkspur, CO.

The Santa Fe paint on the bridge is still present, but it's getting a bit faded. The trees around this location are getting big and are starting to choke out some of the classic shots you see of this bridge. Regardless, it's still nice to catch a SD40-2 leading the way on a Class I railroad, even if it is a lowly local.
