Starry Night

A long exposure of the Milky Way over the Shearing Shed at Balcanoona in the Vulkathana-Gammon Ranges National Park, South Australia.

When in the outback with no light scatter, the stars virtually touch the ground! The moon provided a useful illumination of the shearing shed and stock-yards that night, but in the following nights it rose too quickly and was so large that it rendered the sky baby-blue in colour!
