Moonrise, sunset and a break in the clouds

This photograph captures a momentary break in the clouds that allowed the rising moon to peek through the gloom.

 

Below the moon a layer of cloud lies over the alps which are colored orange by the setting sun. Above it, dark clouds remain to remind us of a wet and gloomy afternoon. To the bottom left, a patch of sunlight reflects of of the snow on the distant hills.
