Spotted Kingfisher (Actenoides lindsayi moseleyi)

A large forest kingfisher that hunts earthworms, small lizards and beetles in dense forest. Often sits motionless for long periods waiting for prey.

This one is from the darker subspecies only found on Negros and Panay islands.
