Red-lored Whistler (Pachycephala rufogularis)

Nombinnie Nature Reserve, NSW, Australia. Rare.

After 3 days of searching, we finally found a male. Naturally it arrived while we were having lunch in the midday heat (39C). Quickly we dropped our sandwiches and grabbed the camera, a few shots through the leaves and it was gone. Not the best shot, but they are rare. Satisfied we finished lunch and headed 1.5 hours back to the hotel for a cooler environment.
