Diesel Railcar "The Arrow", Chilean Railways

We observe in this other archive -- year 1940-- of the diesel-railcar of the Chilean State Railways, nicknamed "Flecha del Sur", here still not assembled 3 units (coaches) in the yards of the railways shops of San Bernardo (Santiago, Chile).

This exotic and aerodynamic diesel-railcar originally commanded to be manufactured exclusively for the Chilean state railways, to the german factories M.A.N and A.E.G. more with american components of the Westinghouse factory, with which the final result was a particular mixture of comfortable, fast and very streamlined lines of european and north american railway equipment.
