Stone-Faiveley Pantograph tangle accident

We look at the shattered pantograph ---Stone-Faiveley type--, from an Alstom commuter unit, belonging to the fleet of Merval (Metro Valparáiso) Chile.

The accident occurred near the Portales railway station (Valparaíso).

See approximate date of this and other files, in the flickr indexer, located below.

This severe and risky accident occurred due to absolute human negligence, by the driver of the Xtrapolis 100, one of the 2 models of commuter units (unfortunately and to the great inconvenience of passengers, without bathrooms) available in its fleet, Merval (Metro Valparaíso).

We also appreciate in the file, part of the Resistors Bank** located on the roof of the unit, for purposes of adequate natural ventilation.

Valparaíso, Chile, South America
