==>M.pudupatti is a Village in Sivakasi Taluk in Virudhunagar District of Tamil Nadu State, India. It is located 39 KM towards west from District head quarters Virudhunagar. 27 KM from Sivakasi. 563 KM from State capital Chennai

==> The cave is most dilapidated and has unique special feature's apart from other rock-cut cave.
==> The lime rocky slopes found at the eastern entrance forms the roof for the front and mukha mandabam.
==> The entire cave is made of basaltic stone (granite) with east entrance.
==> The front mandaba has southern and northern entrance makes a pathway for the circumbulation of the cave.
==> The mugamandapam can be reached from southern entrance of the cave . The koshtam is empty near by the entrance.
==> Though one can see circumbulatory (திருச்சுற்று ) passage in other caves like maamandur third cave, mahabalipuram panchapandavar cave, but it is unfinished.
==>Pudupatti cave is the only cave in south tamilnadu which have finished circumbulatory passage and also the entire cave is made of lime rock.
தென்வடலாக 2. 68 மீ. நீளம், கிழக்கு மேற்காக 2. 50 மீ. அகலம், 2. 25 மீ. உயரம் பெற்றுள்ள முகமண்டபத்தின் மேற்குச் சுவரில் கருவறை அகழப்பட்டுள்ளது. 1. 55 மீ. உயரம், 56 செ. மீ. அகலம் கொண்ட கருவறை வாயிலின் முன் இரண்டு படிகள் உள்ளன. வாயிலின் இருபுறத்தும் சுவர்ப்பகுதிகளில் தென்புறம் சற்றுப் பெரிய கோட்டமும் வடபுறம் சிறிய கோட்டமும் அமைய, அவற்றின் முன் திண்ணைகள் எனச் செங்கல் மேடைகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.
முகமண்டபத்தின் தென்சுவரில் உள்ள திறப்பு, சுற்றுவழிக் கான வாயிலாகவும் குடைவரை வளாகத்திற்கான தென்வாயிலாகவும் பயன்படுகிறது. வடசுவரின் நடுவில் திருமுன் எனக் கொள்ளத்தக்க நிலையில் ஆழமான கோட்டமும் அதன் வலப்புறத்தே மிகச்சிறிய அளவிலான கோட்டமும் உள்ளன. மண்டபத்தின் கிழக்குச் சுவரில் வாயிலின் இருபுறத்தும் பக்கத் திற்கொன்றாக உள்ள உயரமான கோட்டங்கள் வெறுமையாகக் காணப்படுகின்றன.
தென்வடலாக 1. 85 மீ. நீளம், கிழக்கு மேற்காக 1. 82 மீ. அகலம், 1. 87 மீ. உயரம் பெற்றுள்ள கருவறை அரைக்கோள வடிவத்தில் அமைந்துள்ளது. முற்றிலும் சுண்ணாம்புப் பாறையில் குடையப்பட்டுள்ள இக்கருவறையின் சுவர்களில் ஆங்காங்கே சிறு விளக்கு மாடங்கள் உள்ளன. தரையில் பின்னாளைய நாகர் சிற்பம் காணப்படுகிறது.
