Bhasma Mohini Dance @ Belur Chenna Keshava Temple- Karnataka

The interesting figure portraying the Bhasma Mohini Dance story, lies by the side of the northern doorway. The figure illustrates the epic story of God Vishnu who took the form of Mohini. The unique figure although has its hands and feet in different poses, but they are in a straight line. The beautiful sculpture of Mohini with attractive features and exquisite jewellary is a testimony to great craftsmanship. The canopy of intricate creepers and the subordinate figures of a flute-player, drummer and the cymbal player are also noteworthy.
