Puja Pandal. A temporary structure for worship of different Gods & Goddess. In West Bengal , Kolkata , India,

 

Pandals are built with different materials eg. Bamboo, clothe, plastic, clay, wood, cardboard, glass, leafs, mats ,steel, iron and any conceivable regularly used items.

 

The biggest and the best are built mainly at the time of Durga Puja - the biggest occasion in this part of India. However in specific cities , specific gods and goddess are worshiped also in different time. There also this type of pandals are built.

 

These structures remain for four to five days during the worship . After that they are demolished.

 

Each can cost Several Lakhs of Rupees. ( From Ten Thousand Dollars To Lakhs Of Dollers).

 

This one is built for Kali Puja , at a small town near Calcutta ( Kolkata ) < West Bengal < India.
