Crater Erathosthenes and Montes Appeninus

Another DSLR image of lunar craters using 3RF's 15" D&G achromat at Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus.

 

This is another "snapshot" test of the eyepiece-projection adapter which allows visitors to use DSLRs or even cell-phones to make photos of the Moon.

 

This photo was made with a Pentax istDS DSLR.

 

7 separate images aligned and stacked in Registax, use very light gamma and histogram correction and limited wavelet processing. Downsampled 50 percent to minimize camera noise.
