A massive star exploded as a supernova, witnessed by Chinese astronomers in 1054 A.D. -- it was visible in the daylight for 23 days and at night for almost two years! This image is a compilation of many separate images through blue, green, red, and clear filters, amounting to a total exposure of about one-half hour.
