Cactus 3D experiment 2
I think this one works pretty well. When you allow your eyes to defocus, concentrate on the top of the vertical cactus to control the merger. Works great for me!
When you "get there" you may notice three images, with the one in the middle seeming to "float" in a plane that is closer to you than the outer two images.
Distance was about 25 inches, with a Vivitar 100mm macro at F45, on-camera flash, and a Pentax bellows (almost closed) on Pentax istDS. Auto-exposure controlled the flash.
