Maurolycus

The largest crater in this image is Maurolycus. This is one of my favorite lunar surface areas, and is probably my best image of it so far. Taken on Sunday morning, Dec. 10th at Comanche Springs Astronomy Campus with 3RF's SV152 apo and a DMK 21F04 firewirecam. This is the best 1700 of 3400 frames of an avi made at 1/128th second shutter speed and 7.5 fps frame rate. Image is enlarged using a 2.5X Televue Powermate.
