Janssen

Janssen is large, about 115 miles in diameter, and is called "tormented" (due to the later impacts, fissure in its floor, etc.). It's an apt description. This image is a mosaic of three frames which were stacks of about 120 each from separate AVI files made with Registax. The mosaic is by Autostitch. The valley above and right of Janssen is Valles Rheita. The fissure in Janssen's floor is called Rima Janssen (try the Original size view). It is about 2 miles wide and 85 miles long. It is a system of collapsed lava tubes. This image is at 3,000mm FL and was enlarged 150% in VirtualDub.
